Today, we enjoyed the beach a lot!! We spend hole day at the beach and enjoyed swimming, sleeping, hanging around.
I went there Antonia and Kim from Germany. They are also members of cooking party. We talked a lot and enjoyed a lot together. There are a lot of difference and similarities between Germany and Japan. So we were surprised at that and at the same time we felt it quite interesting.
At night, we went to the "cheeky monkeys" again and enjoyed the last night.
I went 3 days trip to Byron Bay with Quest. Byron Bay is beachside town located in the far-northeastern corner of the state of New South Wales, Australia.(wiki) This was my first time to go outside Queensland! Yes! And this day is a special day. 1st April is Rose birthday!!!! XD Congratulation on your birthday!!!!! In Japan, it seems that 20th years old birthday is the most important. And in US, 18th and 21th years old is the most important.(They allowed driving from 18th years old and drinking from 21th years old.)
At first, we went to Nimbin. This town is quite strange. In this town, a bunch of shops sell marijuana cigarette（マリファナ煙草）and there were heaps of people smoke it. It was very shocking for me... OMG OMG OMG...
↓happy high herbes..OMG
At the evening, we finally reached the hostel and we went to the beach. The beach was soooooooooooo beautiful and we enjoyed hanging around the shore and ate a pizza by the shore with beer.
At night, we went to clubbing at "cheeky monkeys" the club was so nice and we drunk and danced a lot till 3am! I enjoyed it a lot!!!
Today, we had language exchange at building of biochemistry library. There is a nice feeling place that we can grab the seats. Today's member were Karl, Miwa, Jade, Karl's mother(lol) and me. Karl's mother had been to Tochigi, Japan to go high school there. So her Japanese is quite nice and we enjoyed chatting which mixed English and Japanese. Jade is an Australian girl planning to go Japan as an exchange student next year.
After the language exchange, I went to the last EAC listening class. This class is free, not compulsory English class for all international students. I've taken 'listening' and 'reading and grammar' class in this semester. For first 4 weeks there are listening class on Tuesday and Thursday. And after the 3(?) weeks, I will take reading and grammar class on Thursday. So today was the last class with Maria, our wonderful English teacher. As usual, we enjoyed her lesson and after the class we talked with classmates and Maria for a while. Maria is a teacher only for listening class. So I'll meet different teacher next Thursday. Thank you Maria for your wonderful class. She told me her private e-mail address and promised we will have coffee someday.
Today, I was happy to say my opinion in tutorial. In the World Religion class, there are no foreign people and in natural, I am the only Japanese girl. So it is very difficult to speak out my opinion especially to the hole class. But today's topic was "Hinduism" and I had a little advantage over classmates because I have been mother Ganga in India. It is the most important place of worship for Hindu. So I could share my experience to classmates. It was a kind of break though for me. Though my English ability is still terrible, I could tell my opinion. yey, I did it! X)
After the class, I went to the library to meet Pamela. But when I met her she looked totally upset. She told me that her wallet was stolen in the library. She left her desk just for about a couple of minutes but when she came back to her desk, her wallet was gone. She said that she was lucky because she had just 2 dollars inside and she has student ID(which is very important) at hand. But still she looked so sad since she bought her purse in England and the design is so nice feeling(she likes dot pattern and green color. the purse was just like that.) The security said that it seems that there is a thief group hanging around university around Brisbane. We should be careful then.
We went back home together and I made sea food curry noodle to encourage her because she really likes my curry noodle. I bought shrimp for the first time(because it was discount.lol) And the taste was pretty good! I made a lot and save some int he freezer.
I went to cafeteria after the EAC class to meet Pamela and we ate dinner together there. I tried wrap shop for the first time with discount ticket. But it was not so tasty. I know, it's much better to bring meal by ourselves everyday. In addition, it's worthy in terms of price as well!lol I will continue to do that! :)
At the cafeteria, I met Bow and we ate dinner together. We enjoyed chatting a lot and Pamela and I learned some Korean language. She is a pretty woman from Korea and we were in same EAC class. She has studied for a long years, I guess. She had studied in France and some other European country. I think she do love studying. I'm planning to go church with her someday since she is a Christian and goes to her church every Sunday. And I have to write my essay about three place of worship for religion class. So I can go there as a part of material of essay♪
Then after we finished our dinner, we met Rose(she had a dance lesson) and Heather(a friend of Rose) to discuss about our trip to New Zealand in mid-semester break. We are planning to go there for 11 days(Rose and I will go first, and Heather and Pamela will join us later.) We booked the flight tickets and check about the sky diving and camping via Internet. I'm so excited! I can't wait!!
